During the COVID pandemic, many measures were introduced to reduce the spread of the virus. For restaurants, these measures resulted in lowering the occupancy rate, and during certain periods in the pandemic it even led to the closing of restaurants. The need for disinfection options, especially for indoor spaces, has increased significantly. The customer was faced with the challenge of minimising the risk of infection and providing additional safety to visitors and employees in his Michelin-awarded restaurant.
The right lighting
Following our assessment, Signify proposed a solution specifically tailored to the restaurant's customer and employee needs, that would contribute to safe re-opening for indoor dining. 28 Philips UV-C disinfection Active air devices were installed in the kitchen area, and 10 Philips UV-C disinfection upper air devices were installed in the dining area.
